Gëvalia has been crafting rich, aromatic coffee for over 150 years, but its identity no longer reflected its sensorial mastery. We helped it reclaim its distinctiveness with a bold, modern refresh built around the idea of ‘Awaken Your Senses.’

Gëvalia isn’t like every other coffee brand. Its traditional Swedish method of slow roasting and snap cooling unlocks a full-bodied flavor and aroma that creates a feast for the senses.

To elevate the brand from mainstream to something more sensorial, Gëvalia needed an identity that captured its 150-year-old heritage with authenticity and attitude. Despite its unique roasting process and bold flavor, its visual presence lacked the richness to stand out in the premium coffee market.

Guided by the idea of ‘Awaken Your Senses,’ we reimagined the crown logo to be more fluid and expressive, introducing new aroma swirls to reflect Gëvalia’s aromatic experience in a modern way. The signature yellow remained, embracing the brand’s Swedish roots while incorporating contemporary Scandinavian aesthetics. The wordmark transitioned to lowercase with a bolder weight, aiding pronunciation and reinforcing a softer, more inviting presence. To honor its origins, we proudly highlighted Gavle, Sweden—the town where Gëvalia was founded.

Gëvalia’s refreshed identity brings its sensory appeal to life, enhances its shelf impact, and reestablishes it as a premium yet approachable coffee brand for today’s discerning consumers.
